このたび、周年記念事業の一環として電子版物理学用語集を作成いたしました。本用語集には、物理学の基本的な用語約15000語の日本語・英語対訳が収録されています。日本で物理学を学ぼうとしている留学生や日本で研究活動をしている外国人研究者のためだけでなく、ネット上にあふれる不統一な学術用語に不安を感じている日本人研究者や英語訳に不安のある日本人学生にも、役立つことを期待しています。これを広く一般公開する前に、まず半年間会員の皆様に見ていただき、間違いなどをご指摘いただきたいと考えています。つきましては、一度サイトを訪問し、用語集を使ってみていただきますようお願いいたします。問題を発見された場合は「ご意見・お問い合わせ」バナーからコメントをご記入ください。10月には一般公開する予定ですので、よろしくご協力のほど、お願いいたします。

＜物理学用語集ウェブサイト運用委員会＞

As part of our anniversary commemorative activities, we have created an online physics glossary. This glossary contains Japanese-English translations for approximately 15,000 basic physics terms. We hope it will be useful not only for international students studying physics in Japan and foreign researchers conducting research here, but also for Japanese researchers who feel uncertain about the inconsistent academic terminology found online, as well as Japanese students who are unsure about English translations. Before making this widely available to the public, we would like to give the JPS members a six-month period to review it and point out any errors. Therefore, we kindly ask that you visit the site and try using the glossary. If you discover any issues, please submit you’re your comments via the “Feedback & Inquiries” banner. We plan to make the glossary publicly available in October. We appreciate your cooperation.
